What If... Carlie Cooper Had Gotten a Different Tattoo?

In the recent issues of Amazing Spider-Man, there has been a running sub-plot where Peter Parker's current girlfriend, Carlie Cooper, has found out that Peter is not always where he says he is going to be. Of course, we know that this is because of his double life as Spidey, but Carlie, thinking that he has been fooling around behind her back, decides to get a tattoo to spite him. She was so drunk that she almost considered getting a Green Goblin tattoo, but in the end decided to settle up for something else: a Spider-Man one. One has to wonder, though, if she didn't consider other choices. Hit the jump to see what could have been.

A Captain America tattoo would have been a very mild choice, to be honest. Everyone loves Cap, including Peter, so it really wouldn't have been a very good revenge option. Not to mention, the Marvel Universe must be filled with people sporting Cap tattoos.
See, now we are getting somewhere! Iron Man was highly disliked during Civil War (and we all know what happened to Spider-Man during it), not to mention getting the face (albeit metallic) of a millionaire playboy is bound to make things very awkward with your lover.
Nothing says disinterest like a good "Cool story, bro", and a tattoo of Hercules giving the thumbs up on your waist is probably the most creative method of delivery. You have to imagine, though, that considering Hercules' prolific love life in the Marvel U, there must be tons of women (and probably men) with tattoos of him.
Sure, it would be funny, but then Marvel would get a visit from DC's lawyers.
Finally, I think if Carlie truly wanted to troll Peter, she really should have gone for a simple Troll Face. Problem?
Want to give Carlie your own tattoo? Above is the high resolution version of the original. Feel free to leave in the comments section below your own creations!

@CombatSpoon - I was laughing at that one too. Definitely my favourite of the bunch.

a tattoo of Joe Quesada since we all know that the way Petey is being written and drawn is based on the real deal.

I'll be honest, I did the whole post just because I liked the Hercules idea so much, haha.

@Hoylus: I wish I had thought of that.

It wouldn't surprise me if Herc carries around a stamp like that. :P

My name is Kirk Warren and I’m a full time comic fan blowing my pay cheques on way too many comics every week.

Back in the early 90's, my mother bought me a Spider-Man comic to shut me up on a trip. I didn’t know it at the time, but that moment changed my life. Since then I've become a full blown comic fan and now purchase well in excess of 20 comics per month plus trades and other comic related goods.

As you can see, I've taken my hobby to the next step with this blog and it's allowed me to connect every single day with thousands of people that share the same passion I have for comics and I wouldn't change that for the world.
